Recent results obtained by DIK collaboration in studies of the finite temperature lattice QCD with N_f=2 nonperturbatively improved Wilson fermions are presented. We found the value for transition temperature in agreement with earlier results obtained with different fermionic actions. The static quarks potential was calculated in both phases. We suggested new anzatz to fit the potential in low temperature phase and demonstrated its agreement with our numerical results. Using this anzatz we estimated string tension, string breaking energy and string breaking distance at temperatures below phase transition.
